Before Buying Parts or Booking Service
An error code identifies a diagnostic path, not a guaranteed failed part. Match the exact model and confirm the fault before ordering.
Build a useful service record
- Record the complete model and the exact displayed code.
- Write down when the problem occurs and what the equipment was doing immediately before it appeared.
- List only safe checks already completed and the observed result of each check.
- Photograph the display and exterior model label without exposing the serial number or personal information.
Questions for a repair provider
- Is the diagnostic fee separate, and is it credited toward an approved repair?
- Does the estimate include labor, parts, tax, travel and disposal?
- Is the work covered by a labor and part warranty?
- Will the technician confirm the part number and model compatibility before installation?
Before ordering a part
- Match the complete model suffix and original part number.
- Check revision, voltage, connector, dimensions and serial-range notes on the seller fit list.
- Use a model-specific parts diagram when the manufacturer provides one.
- Do not order a control board, compressor, sealed-system part or gas component from an error code alone.
